The Prairie Sunset Trail was created as part of the Rails to Trails project and is open to the public for walking, running, and bicycling. The route runs 15 miles from Wichita to Garden Plain. You can enjoy walking or biking beside woods, streams, and farmland.
Trailheads are found at Garden Plain, Goddard, and 111th St W. The trail was created on the former Cannonball Stage Line. The vision is to create a recreational path for people of all ages, as well as a platform to learn about Kansas’ natural treasures!
